I began my career as a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) at La’ James International College where I had to complete 750 hours of study and 120+ hours of hands-on experience before taking the state boards exam. Since graduating I have taken continuing education courses on deep tissue techniques, hot and cold therapies, massage for chronic pain, gait and posture analysis, head and neck techniques, sports massage, and advanced pre-natal. I work with all kinds of clients who have an array of physical and mental-emotional concerns, so I’m confident that my experience and training can help you heal from whatever type of ‘dis-ease’ you’re struggling with.
I believe that true health is a multi-dimensional concept that encompasses physical, social, mental, emotional, and even spiritual aspects, and also that each of the individual parts affects the whole. My role as your therapist is to primarily target the physical level by working on the muscles and joints to reduce tension, stress and strain, and the mental and emotional levels by stimulating the release of endorphins and serotonin– the “happy” hormones which induce a sense of relaxation and calm. I truly believe that the healing aspects of therapeutic massage are great for the body, mind, AND soul!
In my free time I like to spend time outside going for walks or hikes, practice and teach yoga, travel, cook, and spend time with my family and friends. I feel blessed that I can share my passion with my clients every day and help guide people on their journey to health and happiness!
